A busy afternoon

I have four new kits ready to be released, and I even have page samples done for them, but I have to wait until they are up at ScrapVillage before I post the previews. I made a little giveaway set with some of the items I used in the layouts as well, so keep an eye out for those in the next couple of days.

The kids and I had a good afternoon, with some running around. Jessica had an interview for her first job today, and she is probably starting in the next couple of days. If she does, we have to go eat there and take some pics of her in her uniform... you know that has to be saved for all posterity... LOL

While we were waiting for Faith to get out of tutoring and Kyle to finish up at soccer practice, I went to a couple of spots in town that had some great "junque" looks to them to get some pictures I could use as textures for digi projects. I am going to go back to both of these walls when the sun isn't glaring down so badly, but I took this one of Chet just to see how his heighth works with the wall. I just love how the plaster is peeling and exposing the original brickwork on this wall. While I was taking picures of this and the rusted door, the owner of the store came out and asked why I was taking pictures of her walls... LOL. I hope she doesn't mind when I bring all the kids back for a full shoot!

Here is another wall I found... I love living in a town that has buildings over a hundred years old!

When George was here a couple of weeks ago, he taught Faith how to make coffee. Now every night before she goes to bed, she makes it a point to set up the coffee so it is ready when Jack wakes up. She leaves him a different note every night, and sets out his spoon and cup and sugar. Isn't that just adorable?

Todd pulled a lot of my books off my shelves today, and built a roadmap with them. I was impressed with how accurate he was! I have labeled everything he told me about. I thought it was funny that he went and got a big basket for the Walmart. He even had the hilly part of the freeway on the way into Berryville covered... that is where the books go over the step-down from the living room into the kitchen.

After picking up Faith and while waiting for Kyle, the girls and I played with some self-shots. This is the only one that really came out half-decent. 3-5 pm is just not a good time to take pictures! The rest had way too many harsh shadows on them.

Tony and James came over after work today and moved some more top-soil into the garden bed, which was really nice. All in all, it was a really nice day, and a lot was accomplished. Hope you had a good one too!

Well, I'm finally on the map! I can die happy...LOL!! That's so cute. He did a really good job. I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Saturday night. It seems like forever since we've all been together.

P.S. Love your new kits!
