One Big Honkin' Post!

***ETA***
A lot of you have asked where I got my Harley license plate album. It is made by a company called Shoestring Productions. They have lots of different designs... Nascar, Disney, football teams,. and states. So far I have collected the California, Pepsi, Harley, Route 66, Cowgirl Up, and Dallas Cowboys albums. As soon as I fill those babies up I will be displaying them. They are so cool! dKim told me she is working on making albums out of bigger metal signs, and that will be right on the top of my must have list! Here is their contact info if you want one for yourself!

I know that posting all these pages is probably going to bump everything off my front page, but I just don't care! I had a WONDERFUL time scrapping this weekend! I fell in love with these little license plate albums this summer, and I have been enabling everybody I know to get their own. I now have six different designs, but they have been sitting empty because I haven't had time to fill them! In between all the running for activities we had this weekend, I managed to get this little guy put together. I gave it to Kyle before he went to bed tonight, and I just want you all to know that according to him, I am the coolest mom EVER! LOL

I took Kyle and Todd to the Harley store for a field trip last month. We were only there about an hour or so, so I didn't have a ton of journaling. I wanted a sort of story format to this, though, so I found the history of the Harley-Davidson company online and added it throughout the album. The Harley vellum looked so cool that I hated the idea of covering it up, so I cut it into filler pieces, and just added them in a few places throughout. Some of the pages are made out of cardstock, some are chipboard, some are tags, a couple are made of gunmetal paper, and one is a library card.... I wanted a really good junque look to this! I staggered the sizes of the pages as well. Most of the products I used are EK Success, Autumn Leaves, Making Memories, Creative Imaginations, Creative Impressions, 7Gypsies, and my Dymo labeler. TFL!
