Fare thee well

In about a half an hour I am waking Jack and the kids up and we will be off. We are hoping to get more than halfway there before we find a landing spot to grab some sleep tomorrow night. I haven't finished everything on the album yet, so I am bringing a pile of rub-ons and decorative attachments to finish it on the road. The journaling is done, though, and I have a pen to add some other things I wanted to mention in it. The thing has almost 80- pages... they are all 4.5x6.75, but still... it is pretty thick.. :0) I will take pictures of it when we get to Arkansas, and then upload it at the hotel. I just ran out of time for some reason today.

I also have pictures of all the luggage we are bringing. Everybody has a small suitcase or duffel bag for their clothes, and a backpack full of crosswords and pencils and other diversions, but it still adds up to a lot of luggage when you multiply it by eight! Especially when you add the bag full of shoes, the bag full of cosmetics and hygiene stuff, plus we have the DVD and computer bags, the camera and camcorder bags, and the CD players and headphones. It will be a cozy ride all the way there! We bought one of those things that goes on top of the Expedition, though, so it will contain the bulk of the bulk!

I wanted to say thanks to everyone who has wished us well, and I also wanted to thank all of you who posted for Kyle the other day. He had a wonderful time being the center of attention! I am going to have to do that more for often for all of them at random times!
