Monument

This monument was built by the Daughters of the Revolution to honor all the soldiers who are believed to be buried in this field. Nearly 2,000 men died in Valley Forge during winter quarters due to disease.

I am struck by the similarities between this monument and the Washington monument in DC. After convention season is over I am going to do some research and see what the significance is.
