Some 4th of July shots

We were going to eat dinner at my mom's house before the fireworks, but some BBQ mishaps forced a change of plans. Instead we picked up a bucket of chicken and ate it picnic style at the park. We loved it so much, we plan on doing the same thing again next year.
My pictures are a little out of order here because Blogger is not wanting to upload them like it usually does. This was the first time Beth was really aware of fireworks. She loved them. They would boom, and she would say "wooowwww." She didn't make through the whole half hour show, though. She was done being amazed about ten minutes into it and wanted to go home... LOL.
Have you ever seen a more enthusiastic bunch of kids???? You might have noticed that we were short our half-a-dozen kids by one. Matt is still at leadership camp. It is disconcerting to go on a family outing when we are missing one kid. It feels like you forgot one and left him behind. Beth didn't want Jack to let go of her. That is what happens when she doesn't get a nap in the afternoons.
Faith made these cute little flags all by herself for Jack and I to wave while we watched the show. It makes my heart beam with pride to have a crafty daughter... LOL
